meet the maker

i'm veronica, you might know me as ronnie, and i’m just a pretty plant witch out here doing pretty plant things. my work is a collaborative oracle of earth based experiences, inspired by the more than human world, rooted in animism and folk magic.

my childhood was spent in the woods climbing trees, playing with frogs and snakes, befriending the spirits of the bog, and laughing with chamomile. my adult life has been a variation of the same experience — navigating metaphoric bogs (and sometimes real ones), submerging in the wonders of chaos magic, talking to plants and humming with bees. i’m happiest when my hands can be in the dirt tending to the roots of life unfurling around me.

i believe we are all part of the earth’s stories, and i believe at any given point in our life the way we connect with those stories is different. wherever this finds you, there is a story for you, and i can't wait for you to witness it.

the values that guide me (and the plants that guide them)

ð–¡¼ CURIOSITY

chamomile.
curiosity paves the path to a wider, broader, deeper understanding of the world. i see the stories in the world around me, and i am constantly asking questions.

ð–¡¼ SIMPLICITY

dahlia.

expression is as simple as noticing what you want and naming it; this simplicity is sacred. you don't need to be anything other than what you are to exist radiantly. all you have to do is notice.

COLLABORATION

violet.

first with the earth, and then with yourself, and then with others. look to the earth as a mirror and learn their stories. that’s how you learn. about yourself, about others. life is a collaborative experience.

ð–¡¼ DISCERNMENT

blackberry.

in a world of information coming left from right, it is so profoundly important to know yourself, to know what is true for you, and to operate from this standpoint. we need to be able to filter what is and is not ours to hold in order to show up in the ways we want to.

ð–¡¼ PLAY

wild rose.

you might prefer to call this adaptability, or even shapeshifting. we are human, we are constantly changing. and we should make space for growth, both for ourselves and the world around us. nothing will ever stay the same and nor should it, and choosing to meet that with play is a pillar in my practice.
